Felt Care Instructions

Felt is made of wool fibres by using mechanical movement, soap and heat.
Wool is a natural fibre and repels dirt and water by itself. This is one of the great advantages of the fabric.
Therefore your felt product will naturally repel dirt and water and will need minimal cleaning.
Felt does not require regular washing, but a good airing after use in wet weather is probably a good idea.
Wipe off liquid spills immediately.
Food stains can be removed by scraping and wiping with a damp cloth.
When needed you can wash the product by hand following normal washing instructions for wool.
Avoid heavy mechanical movements and strong detergents.
Do not let felt soak for long periods; wash the product quite quickly in a bowl of water.
Squeeze extra water off.
Wool cannot be bleached.
If you have a pair of crinkled arm warmers and want to wash them. Do so as above and then thread them over a rolling pin or similar. They can then be crinkled up and secured in place with a couple of hair bands. Then let them dry- they will be as crinkly as new when dry!
